The Chevy II and the Burb are fairly well priced it looks like, but the pics kinda suck with the burb so it's hard to tell.

I am probably the only weirdo in the world that would love to roll in the Chevy II leaving the 6 banger and 3 on the tree in it! There just ain't many survivors like that out there any more. I have really grown to love the 230 in my '55 GMC.

There is still one here in Sask. at least. I take it out in summer time.
Easy winter here so far. Haven't even used the snow blower yet. Above normal temps and below normal snow.

Very cool! I think I watched a video of yours driving it once? I do remember one that was a 3 on the tree at least----. To me it is a shame nowadays to take something that has survived unmolested all these years and "modernize" it. There's plenty around that have been messed with that are good candidates for modification.

You probably did see "One Chevy II", a video I made several years ago. Yes, keeping them original is much more in style these days. Right down to the paint.

Re: Enough Winter

Sorry guys, I'd dump a small block and 700R4 in the Chevy II. Headers, wheels and tires. Sherry would love it.

Re: Enough Winter

A friend of mine was given a 4 door first gen Nova, in pieces, with a 350/700R4 and all the suspension stuff from (something) Boys Racing............he's putting it all together. I'm trying to talk him in to auto-crossing it...........that stuff would all fit on the wagon. I'd rather do the wagon, but free is GOOD!

Its great but at today's temp (-20F) a bit cold to play with the toys.
Typical crops here are wheat, canola, flax, oats. For you diehard GM guys you might like to listen to the straight piped GM 350 in this Massey Ferguson combine I used to run in the 1980s. Truly awesome sound sitting there at my right elbow all day long.

Re: Enough Winter

That was a fun video too---I have a couple of little bitty Massey-Fergusons from the 60's and 70's. Nice footage from back in the day of big old vhs cameras! What type of a converter do you use to go from vhs to cd-dvd type disc? I have some vhs tapes with Dad on them that I would like to send to my sisters digitally wether it be on a cd or a flash drive. Just need to get them to the PC somehow.

You are definitely getting colder weather than us, coldest we have gotten was around -12F so far this winter.

Those early videos I converted with a device called "the dazzler" but lately I've acquired a Toshiba DVD player that works even better. Just plug the camcorder into the DVD player. Insert a rewriteable DVD and play. I can edit and cut out the boring parts quite easily. I haven't tried it yet but am hoping I could just save from the DVD onto a flash drive.
