Neat 1955 First Series Pick-up

I've never been a big fan of the AD pickups. This one though has them growing on me..

Saw it today up in Leadville Colorado at their "Boom Days" celebration.

Pretty cool truck! I'm really impressed he kept a 6 banger and what appears to be the sm420 tranny in it! So many of these trucks have LS engines any more you would think they are original equipment--LOL!

That's what impressed me about the truck Doug.

There was some gal driving the truck with her kids sitting in the bed, so I too figured it had a modern driveline. Then when I saw the truck later I was surprised by 6 cylinder motor and manual transmission. The interior was very cool. Did ya see the old timey fire extinguisher?

That's cool. I really like the old Fire extinguisher under the dash. Looks like it could have came from the factory mounted there...

Yeah very cool John, I've got a small "Fyr Fyter" extinguisher hanging on the office wall---maybe it should go in the '55----

John, Hmm, I didn't even pick up on the fact you said a 54............I'd swear that is/was a 55 first series Chevy.
