'87 S-10 Door Mirror touch up

Been trying to find a heater/resistor/blower motor wire set up for the '72. Since I'm in the mode of working on my rigs, I figured the door door mirrors on the S-10 could use some improvement.

First is removing the mirror attachement cover.

Then, removing the mirror form the door.

The silver brace? was removed by applying hard pressure with the adjustable pliers. Once it's out, the housing slides off.

I used Mother's Back to Black trim polish and some black spray paint on the arm.

That reminds me I need to find some mirrors myself, the chrome if fading from the sun. Nice Job Tim.

Thanks. Those mirrors have the simulated chrome (I think). There was a bunch of black stuff that I've never been able to remove. I wish I would have taken a pic. Anyway, I used a common rubbing compound and this one cleaned right up.
