New Radiator '87 S-10 350 conversion

Finally got Mike to work on this himself. He put a new aluminum 2 core radiator in with the 16 lb cap. New transmission cooler on the outside of the radiator. One of the 16" electric fans is now on the front as a pusher, the other is still on the inside. We took it out and did everything possible to get it hot. Stayed right at 180-185*. Happy now.

I know. The guy who did the 350 swap, Scott, isn't there anymore. He quit and opened up his own shop, "Dark Horse Customs". Mike said the radiator Scott installed was smaller than the original 2.8 L the Blazer had in it. Can't wait to hit the trails.

Re: New Radiator '87 S-10 350 conversion

Well, just between you and me? I do not want to sell it. Tobie (wife) sees the S-10 as a headache and stress for me. She is right, in that it has left me stranded more times than I care to remember. She worries it will breakdown when I'm in the hills or even in town.
It's on criagslist, but the price is high. See what I did there? Made the attempt hoping she won't figure out no one will actually pay that much.

Does this make me a bad person??

Just smart business maximizing profits---sometimes it takes patience to get the most out of your investment. Wow i'm shocked I came up with that since I buy stuff expensive and sell cheap, but that theory sounds good don't it??---LOL

Later---DAC
