Re: What did you work on today?

Hi guys, I hate it that the site seems to have no activity. I did want to post a couple of pics. A few years ago, Mark, aka Old9 sent me an oil pressure gauge for the heck of it and I FINALLY put it to good use! I bought a low milage 355 for my '70 Jimmy recently. I know the builder and the guy that bought it and drove it for a little under 30,000 miles. Only problem is that it sat on an engine stand for about 7 years. I flushed and primed it after I built this little oil pressure gauge setup. Thanks Mark!

The Jimmy was going to see it's first daylight today since 2005 to get a good pressure wash mainly underneath and my pressure washer pump body is cracked! I must not have gotten it drained well enough last fall. I found a new one on Epay pretty reasonable.

Hope the site comes back around again.

Re: What did you work on today?

Doug, I'm sad to see almost no activity here, too.
Glad you found the part for the pressure washer, I had to replace one on my pressure washer that did the same thing, and I keep mine in my shop, where I keep the heat at 45 degrees when I'm not using it.
We've been working (slowly) on the wiring harness for the 67 Malibu wagon, got it almost finished........but then we find more things missing, like dome light and license plate light, that we need to finish up............
Good luck with the engine swap, hope it goes quickly and easily.

Thumbs up Re: What did you work on today?

Howdy 60-66 folks,

so, after diagnosing charging issues... ordering and installing a new voltage regulator...

I had to replace my heater core again, so I took lots of photos.

Here is the latest tech article if you are interested in checking it out.

Happy Wrenching,
