Thumbs up 6 Ton Bench Press

Well I small job that has pressed in bearings that need changed.
These are the John Deere mower deck spindles and are 90.00 plus each new.
So I looked around on the internet and found the sealed bearings for $2.07 ea. then now I need them removed and replaced.

Looked around some more and found this small press at Harbor Freight and today only **Memorial Day** 25% off even sale items for a total of $48.00 bucks. :ohyes:
So thought I would share some pictures of the spindles and the press.

I will post some pictures once I get the bearings and get them installed.

Re: 6 Ton Bench Press

It's great. I will store it right behind the bench grinder and it won't bother me a bit.
Getting ready to go out soon and play with it.

Re: 6 Ton Bench Press

I've got a HF press. It's a little bigger, don't remember the tonage. It's saved me a bunch of money.

Re: 6 Ton Bench Press

Well I had a small problem. I bent the 1/2" ram the first time I used it.
So I increased the shaft 100% to 1" and added some kickers for support have not looked back since
Here's a few pictures and the spindles I did for the John Deere also will be doing front axle bushings very soon.

A guy would never know you do all that in a double car garage. The work you do is more like a shop set up. I have a small garage now so it's cool to see how you can still do whatever needs to be done, regardless of space. Great work, Ragenrat.

Thanks buddy that's huge to hear. I love making stuff and finding goofy projects to keep me going.
The best thing about only having a smaller garage is less room to lose stuff. The older I get the easier it is to lose things even tho there sitting right in front of me.
