Vehicle names?

How many of you Name your vehicles, what names and why that name?

Most know mine Already, It's BGBYTOY, Big Boy Toy. The name's pretty easy to figure out. It's a big boy toy and it's mine.

How about all of yours?

Re: Vehicle names?

My 62 Dodge Custom 880 2 door hardtop (Dodge's version of the Chrysler 300) had a 440, push button 727, and Mark IV air conditioning. The plate was SNUZZR.
My 56 Studebaker President 2 door wagon, with 350/700R4, Mustang II, Vintage Air and power windows was STEWED.
We've kinda gotten away from personalized plates and names, and gone with Veteran's Plates. The 25.00 annual fee is SUPPOSED to go to Veteran's needs (I hope).

Re: Vehicle names?

Cool Topic..

Our '27 RPU is "The Clown Car"... when we bought the body it was previously owned by a fire department... and had amateur painted graphics that read "Fog Hollow Company" and a little dog sitting by a fire hydrant. It looked like something a hundred clowns would pile out of.

My '65 C10 was "Ye Ole Orange Crate"... painted orange, a 60's muscle truck..

Our '31 Tudor is "Rodney" it's a bad ass hot rod.... to us anyway.

The '07 Jeep is "The Fun Machine"...

Re: Vehicle names?

I agonized over the right name for a year or so. I could tell she was feeling like an outcast, not part of the family and that only added to the pressure. I named her...I named it "Lloyd".

Re: Vehicle names?

There's some cool names here for cool rides! I went in to some of this with Ron and John in my '55 thread but I will do a shorter version because of a couple other vehicles added.

The '55 is simply "My OL' '55" after an old Eagles song.
The '72 was named "Long Hard Ride" back in the 80's after an old Marshall Tucker Band song.
The 70 Jimmy is just "Mom's Jimmy" I have thought about "Dolly", Mom's nick name but it's a Jimmy you know---and also "Don't Mess around With Jim" but that's too long.
I'm using Lots of parts from my wife's "Old Grey Mare" a 1997 Dodge Caravan and when she first bought it she called it the "Silver Bullet" but it's out to pasture now.

My garden tractors are D i c k, Ron and Uncle Bill for the folks I got them from.
