Gypsum Daze Car Show 07-18-2015

Thought I'd share... saw these at the Gypsum Daze Car Show 07-18-2015

I'm thinking I'd like to "have my way" with one of these tri-5 pickups once my shop gets built and I get settled in...... this original patina'd '55 tripped my trigger... well except for the high back buckets... ugh. Is there a way to make Center Line Convo Pro wheels look rusty? Maybe bead blast them and then shoot them with some matte clear with a touch of red-oxide....

You've got an eye for the stuff I love, John.
I'd love to do a tri-five truck...........I've always wanted to do a 53/54 Chevy 2 door......Unfortunately, I've got enough projects to do already to keep my self busy for a long time.

I may have already mentioned this, but about 30 years ago I saw a black and white GM Archive photo of a "test mule" Chevy built in 1954. It was a 54 Bel Air 2 door with a '55 Chevy doghouse. It was awesome, those big bulging '54 rear fenders with the iconic '55 front eyebrow fenders and cheese grater grille..... I'd like to build one of those too.

I dig the tri5 stuff too and will be incorporating items into my 55 build from other years too. Just subtle differences like grills and options. Like the 67-72's. Looks like that was a great show!

Years ago I had a 52 Chevy coupe Hi-Boy, Wild 327 4spd. Hugger orange. It was pretty but drove like crap''
Something I always wanted but never got was a 55 chevy pickup, I love the flow of that front end. There's one around here in a farmers yard but I'll be ****ed if he'll part with it. I've been trying for 10 years.

Nice pics. Thanks
