Re: Rock Auto Rocks Man

I haven't dealt with them personally, but a friend of mine bought a radiator for his 89 K1500 from them and with shipping the price was half of what he would of spent localy...

Re: Rock Auto Rocks Man

Rock Auto is fast I have used them a few times. What surprised me is I am in Canada and I got my stuff fast, and no fees at the door makes me wonder if they dont have a depot over here but them there would be a Rock Auto .ca and there is not.

Re: Rock Auto Rocks Man

sure these places are great if you like supporting china(in alot of cases but not always)just like with any other parts house these days hmm

i see that those springs are moog in which i consider to be great, surprising, and a miracle all at the same time,
so thumbs up to rockauto for that one

ordered a radiator for a mitsubishi we were working on last fall and the box was made in china all over it, i didnt like it but i had no choice really and its where the owner of the car wanted it to be from due to the price

not to be negative, but its sad but true anymore

i would assume or hope that most ppl try to avoid buying chinese whenever possible but i really wonder if they do at all

i try my best to use good used OEM parts before i have to resort to new chinese

Even NAPA has gone the way of chinese on parts, even important parts like electrical switches and brake rotors, fuel pumps, and so on

we have to buy alot of parts often repairing ppl's vehicles and its sad.. :O

our own parts seem to cost too much for our parts houses to buy and sell to us, even more and more increasingly so, and it seems no one cares or realizes it but wonders why things are getting so much worse, i am pretyt much disgusted with it all and have quit ownign any project vehicles and have sold or scrapepd almost everything and only buy anything if i really have to, skyrocketing scrap prices have killed things as well, sell china all our junk metal

imagine how its going to get to be in the future, hmmm..

usa < china and others

The site is goofy I do that on accident a lot but once you get used to click the corrrectthing it wont go back to the beginning.
I was wondering why Mitsubishi would make parts in USA for a foreign car to begin with...
Anyway you are correct, but money or lack of causes most of us to either have a toy truck or not, and well because nobody makes most repops other than China, Japan, Malaysia....we are screwed. I am not gonna give a body shop 600 bucks to fix the rusty original door for one I don`t care about originality, not a necessity with this truck the original owners made shure that could not happen, and 2 I can get the new door faster all the way from china....problem with body parts is that one company basically imports all the parts Cross Canada....then we buy them from US companies because the price is half of what it costs here.(Canada) It makes no sense

Re: Rock Auto Rocks Man

I leveraged Advance and AZ against RockAuto and for the same Spectra gas tank....RA won. It is nice to compare and/or have the ability to comparison shop. Oh, delivered rapidly and on Saturday(FedEx Gnd.)too.
