Tachometer I.D.?

A friend gave me this tach about a year ago and I haven't been able to identify it. It appears to be a factory installation but no manufacturer marks can be seen anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Tachometer I.D.?

That's a stumper????? apparently, it had some kind of mount screwed to the bottom? Do you think it might have been mounted to the top of a dash? or to a console? I'll have to look at my knee-knocker in the Chevelle.......now that I think about it, I don't think it has any name or logo on it, either.

Re: Tachometer I.D.?

Yeah, it looks like some sort of base or mount attached to the "flat" where the wires come out, or possibly on a "shelf" on the dash or console like you stated. What year is your Chevelle?

Thanks---DAC

Re: Tachometer I.D.?

Just a thought...........I wonder if you couldn't also reverse the back, so the flat mount would be on the top.....and allow you to hang it from above........like under dash?

Re: Tachometer I.D.?

Hey Guys and Gals,

I got a chance to get some pics of the innerds of this tach but it was no help to me identifying it. Still no clue it it's GM, F@&d, Nash or whatever!

One thing I could determine is that it is not reverseable. It has to set on top of a dash or shelf and cannot hang under something like that.

Does the blue light cover narrow down any options?
