cab mounts

How tight are they supposed to be ? It seems like very little and the washers cave.
I tried putting the fenders on and seemed like front of cab was too low

Re: cab mounts

Do you have the type with the nylock nuts?

On my '65 I just snugged them up.. didn't torque them to any given spec. since they were nylocks.

John, Front cab mount bolts are 50 lb/ft, the rear cab mount bolts are 20 lb/ft, this comes from a member from the "Dark Side" forum site from his 1972 Overhaul Manual 10-30 series Trucks book. I suggest you get your years Truck manual to verify the torque values to be sure.

As for the washers problem maybe you need to go to a thicker washer. I hope this helps you.
