Lakeroadster Checking In

My buddys Markeb01 & Rich 5150 69 emailed me about your website and I'm glad they did.

Lookin forward to learning and chatting with ya'll.

Here are a few photos of my truck:

Truck has a 350 sbc, M21 4-speed, stock 3.73:1 12 bolt. I can't seem to leave stuff alone and thus far have widened the bed 4 inches, added a roll pan and '64 Impala tailights, made a custom tube grill, installed a '67 Camaro dash, installed a rear mount gas tank, and lots of little other mod's.

Currently doing a faux-tina paint job, changing from all white to factory two tone white over orange.

I have had the truck for about 4 years... working on it is like therapy, a way to get "my mind right".

Thanks for lookin...

Happy Trails,

John

Hi John!

I understand not leaving well enough alone, I been working on mine for 23 years and counting. can't leave well enough alone..

Welcome from Nevada

PS: I like the changes you've made, what else is in store?

Thanks for the welcome.

What else you ask?

Ever since I saw this photo I have been wanting to replicate the front bumper treatment on my '65.

Well, no turning back now. My trusty sawzall made quick work of the stock frame horns:

And once the horns were gone I pulled some dimensions and designed a front push bumper on CAD.

Time to buy some 4" pipe, some pipe caps, and have at it

Welcome from Montana! These '60-'66 Chevy's are my equal favorites with the '67-'72. Hope you enjoy your time here as much as I do.

Hello and Welcome to the Board, Thats a cool setup with the dash from a 67' camaro, that really looks like it works, how hard was it for you to do, therapy, thats a good way to look at it.

Here are some photos. it was quite the challenge.

Stock Camaro Dash

Test Fit... too short

Adding section to widen dash

Face of stock dash removed, tubing added to bolt Camaro dash to, wiring extended for heater control (New dash bolts in)

Metal worked and body filled, Test fitting Covan guage panel.

Final install with stock C10 switches, Repop Camaro bezels and refurbished stock column.

Gauges installed, including home made heater delete and radio delete panels and new walnut wheel.
