I didn't know this was an option.

Just be careful in regard to pressure. Those cans will become a bomb if you over pressurize it.

Re: How to Refill an Aerosol Spray Can!

Thanks Mark, I've thrown away lots! Now if I could get the 5 or 6 cans l have like in the first pic transferred into the refillable sprayer in the second pic---- I seem to knock them off a fender or workbench quite often!

Thanks, truckin'1, nothing real exciting with the '55, just an old work truck. I dig it like that though! I don't think it was real patina, sometime before it was abandoned in 1997, it appears someone had DA sanded it a bunch. It has been back on the road since 2010 or '11 I forget now!

I'm still hangin' on to those broken-off cans of cleaner since they are almost full but I suppose they should be tossed:-(=

Re: How to Refill an Aerosol Spray Can!

that's a neat 55, Doug! And it's a work truck. There's a guy in the neighborhood of my office who drives a 57 Chevy pickup, a work truck. I think he's a handyman, helping older folks in the neighborhood. His license plate is "Workn57". I'd love to get my hands on that truck.

Doug, I keep the spray heads off the top of most aerosol cans I get. Then when one top goes bad I grab a new one. Other thing, when I break the little un removable straw type head You can turn the can upside down and use something to push the plastic down into the can and get it to spray into a bowl of some kind and then I can use the stuff from the can.
Doesn't always work but it's saved me some dollars here and there in the past.

I Like this idea but, I think I would try to put the can in some kind of container just in case it did explode, That would contain some of the metal flying like a Bullet..

Yeah these are the non replaceable nozzles, Ron. I keep lots of replaceable ones around too since I have an addiction to Krylon! Probably best to toss the broken ones, not worth the effort and possible risk. I'm just a cheap a$$.
