I hate selling stuff, what a hassle.

So I am trying to unload a bunch of parts left over from the Orange Crate build.

I truly hate selling stuff, everybody that contacts me wants to give me pennies on the dollar... I'll take the stuff to the dump before I give it away to some smart a$$....

Re: I hate selling stuff, what a hassle.

I go through the same thing. And when someone opens their wallets and don't haggle, you know it was too cheap.

I just sold my tunnel ram a few weeks ago, I always add extra for the Haggler's (Which I am one of. lol) this guy walks in looks it over and reaches into his wallet, No questions asked nor haggling. Drops the money on my bench!? Wonder what I could have gotten for it.... ;)

Well if I had any money and a use for some of the dash stuff and seat I would try to cut a deal for you to take it over to my sisters house to store it 'till I get down that way again! I see guys selling rally wheels and caps for way more than that all the time and one ring gone shouldn't hurt the value that bad. Someone will step up and buy the stuff. I paid 300 for the rally wheels and tires for my Jimmy many years ago.

Re: I hate selling stuff, what a hassle.

I don't sell stuff as often as I buy stuff. Last Saturday I went to a local club's swap meet. A guy had a set of ralley wheels, 15x8, 5 on 4 and 3/4, with perfect caps and rings. He was asking 200.00. I offered 180, we settled on 190 and I loaded them up. I can't help myself, I just do that stuff..........

Re: I hate selling stuff, what a hassle.

And to ad insult to injury I get an email from a guy yesterday, "I'm interested in tires and wheels, call me".

So I did and of course it goes to voice mail... message sounded like I was in Mexico City.

Sorry Pablo, No Hablo Espanol.

Re: I hate selling stuff, what a hassle.

Sold all the parts to a great fella tonight. Younger guy, paint & body shop fella. Has a '63 GMC that he installed a LS motor in, lowered, discs & drums, etc.

Sold him all the parts, they'll go to good use, his buddies also have 60-66's.

He got a helluva deal, and the parts are going to the next generation of old school hot rodders.

The guy restored my faith in the future.

He said he'd rather take stuff to the dump than sell it on Craigslist..... funny, I said the same thing to my wife earlier today.

I am officially out of the Chevy C10 business fellas.

But I'll still be hanging out here.... with my pals!

I think you are only temporarily out of the C10 business, LOL. Glad you're gonna stick around.

Hey, John, should I start forwarding you Craigslist ads for C-10s?
