Shop Heat Phase Two

I'm tired of being cold in my shop so I doubled the heating capacity. I had a single 7500 BTU 220V heater, now I have two. They are made by Fahrenheat and have their own separate thermostats.

Got to test them out on Thursday and Friday. It's nice being able to work in the shop again without being bundled up like an eskimo.

Replaced a rear tire on my bike, worked on my maternal Grandfather's radial arm saw stand, and finished up getting my paternal Grandfather's saddle mounted to an art deco bar stool.

Neat stuff! Neat shop! I agree, a comfortable shop makes working easier.

Re: What did you work on today?

I was out this morning in the breezy 16 degree temps pulling the damaged head off my wife's garden windmill. It's made it through many severe windstorms, but the one last night was the strongest we can remember. Apparently the severe buffeting snapped the reinforcing ring allowing the blades to flex and detach. Thankfully no injuries or neighbor damage. Now I'm on to finding a replacement if possible.

Re: What did you work on today?

Well, wanted to get the Chevelle cleaned up to get ready for Goodguys next weekend, but we've got a fast moving storm, rain, wind, only about 52 degrees............so, I decided to spend the day in the shop getting the 327 ready to go in the 67 Malibu wagon of the kids........need to blast the intake, pick up an intake manifold gasket kit, and few misc pieces, and it's ready. I'll do a picture when it's all put back together.
Tomorrow is supposed to be nicer, no rain, no wind, only about 66 degrees though. Next weekend, we'll be in the 80's again.

Re: What did you work on today?

I can only dream of temps like that at the moment. Our overnight low tonight is forecast at -9, with a high of 16 tomorrow.

And thanks for the offer John. I checking out all the options including replacing the traditional fan with a huge model airplane propeller!
