Hello. I am here by extreme circumstance

I own a 69 chevrolet truck. In 1999 I saw it in Florida and said a prayer to have it. 6 years later in 2005 I owned it. I have built several engines in it and get bored and built others. now it is 2016 and me and this truck have been best friends for ten years.

last Friday i was in an unusual accident. A vehicle with poorly aimed HID bulbs within round conversion capsules for Halogens slowed down , but did not dim his lights. There was a trailer across my lane, i could not see till after these lights were almost beside me. BAMMMMMM!

Idiot who blinded me drove off after he realized what happened. Now i need a front clip, and my student budget on my GI bill wont let me afford new parts so I am looking for anything , even rough but usable to bolt on. Thank *** the man in the trailer also called the guy an @$$ hole and realized what happened.

My other car, 2014 Hyundai is waiting for a warranty approval on a new engine under warranty. Engine is back ordered. So i am with out a car to visit my son on weekends 125 miles away.

So life sucks as I start my saga to meet new friends and search to put my ride back to drivable till i can afford perfect parts.

Currently I have a 454, with 396 heads, a Mike Jones Cam, headers and 3" dual exhaust. And a t56 trans mission. I am running 3.73 gears with a spartan locker, I do not off road, but that locker helps those good year eagles both work together on launch. When my cell phone data picks up I will try to get some pictures up.

Anyway. hello

Hi Nathan, welcome to our home away from home>>

So how can we help you? What parts do you need?

Bagged (Ron) in Nevada.

Re: Hello. I am here by extreme circumstance

Well a workable front clip..
But honestly I just can get a used passenger fender at a decent cost. I will untwist the bumper and straighten the radiator support. This will drive me down the road fairly legally untill I can find decent replacement parts. I will definitely need to find the from grille. I just want it good looking again but not perfect. If anyone in ft worth to Waco to Killeen knows anyone. Areas in Texas I often am in.
Oh I am not against HIDs but please remember they can blind people at night and get the ones with a decent low beam
Sorry if I offended some of the aftermarket light crowd just the situation really made me cry.

Welcome, too bad you are so far away. Quite a bit of that "workable" stuff up here. Those new type of headlights bother me too. Even though your truck got wrecked, we would like pics!

Re: Hello. I am here by extreme circumstance

I have a good passenger GM fender. Has some surface rust and one hole that is on the inside. I also have a complete grill but it has some damage. Shipping might be a killer, but I am willing to ship. If you are interested, send me a PM with your email address and I can get some pics for you.

Thanks,
Mark
