Wire

i have a 1977 silverado that i plopped an olds 403 into, almost done, but theres a red/brown wire coming from the switch (i think) about midframe and runs up the frame towards the motor, I have no idea where this wire goes, I do know that my fuel guage is out of whack as well, any help is greatly appreciated.

I looked at that wire deal and I just wanted to offer these ideas. Does this wire combo lead to a trailer brake setup? The other was a turn signal indicator. I just saw the pics and its' all I could relate the red/brown to. Later.

Yes I did. Everything hooked up to where it was supposed to, but there are 4 wires that come from the computer and go nowhere. I labeled them and tucked them away. Everything works right, except the electric windows. Those wires, 6 or more, come from the door, and only go to the fuse box. I am in the process of trouble shooting them now. Later.
