Saturday, helped a friend with his 49 Ford woodie, yesterday, cleaned up the woodpile, cleaned out the 5 car garage, swept my shop, started a fire in the fireplace, and drank a few beers..........

700R4 is an automatic. They were also made for 4x4 trucks.

I know there are 2 different sized flexplates, But I haven't heard that the bolt pattern is different to bolt them up.

I haven't done it with my truck, but I did it with my 56 210. It's possible, but a lot of effort. Took quite a while, but I'm glad I did it. You can do it, too, Marvin. Go for it!
